Amelia Lily ditches trademark pink hair hairstyle for short hair

Amelia Lilys name is practically synonymous with the colour pink but now the X Factor hopeful has ditched her trademark candyfloss locks and reverted back to her original blonde look.

The 17-year-old contestant has had a whirlwind journey on the X Factor so r after being ditched by mentor Kelly Rowland in the first week only to be bought back as Frankie Cocozzas replacement in week six.

She will now fight it out in this weekends semi-final against Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Misha B to win a place in the final show of the series.

But with the all-important semis this weekend, it seems Amelia is getting serious as shes decided to get rid of her pink trusses in vour of the blonde locks she started the competition with.

Amelia showed off her transformed image last night at a secret X Factor gig in central London.

She teamed her mature new look with a black sheer blouse which she wore over animal print leggings and sparkly boots.

But though she may have changed her hairstyle, she still kept her usual smokey-eyed look as she posed for paparazzi at the event.

And she made sure to show shes still a pink lover by accessorising with a furry pink scarf and a pink bag.

Meanwhile, the bubbly blonde has been plugging the X Factor finalists Christmas single, a cover of Wishing On A Star, on her Twitter account.

The single will raise money for Together for Short Lives which provides support for children, and their milies, who are unlikely to reach adulthood.

JLS and One Direction collaborated with the finalists on the single, set to be the Christmas number one.

Speaking at the event, Little Mixs Jesy Nelson said: It would be amazing if we got to number one.

It would be an overwhelming feeling knowing that were helping so many kids.

And her bandmate Perrie Edwards added: Its such a good cause. When you meet these chhairstyle for short hairildren you realise how privileged you are to have your health.
